About Francesca

I grew up in a musical family. My mother made me and my siblings learn the piano and one other instrument. I picked up piano at 8 years old, with no lessons, just playing by ear. I eventually started traditional piano lessons of going through a lesson book, but I cheated by memorizing what was played, then playing it by ear to my teacher. I eventually found a new piano teacher who taught me music theory, and how to improvise and play by ear using music theory. That is when my piano skills and love for piano blossomed. After playing countless hours in church for singers, instrumentalists, and solos, arranging songs and sets for musicians and vocalist, I now focus on inspiring others to take their first steps in music, hone their improvisation skills, and learn new skills. Everyone is welcome in my studio, as I firmly believe everyone can be a musician.

About the lesson

Lessons are planned around each student’s goals and interests. There is no one size fits all here! My students love to practice, not because they have to, but because music is fun. I firmly believe everyone can be an artist and musician. Some people take to it quickly, and some people need to be shown the way. Everyone is creative, and in my piano studio, everyone can play music.
