About Dhanvi
I have over seven years of experience playing the viola, including participation in chamber and concert orchestra ensembles and county level groups. Throughout this time, I have performed in auditions, concerts, and competitive ensembles, which has helped me develop strong technique, discipline, and musical understanding. I think music should be fun as well as engaging so I approach each lesson with preparation, patience, and professionalism. I understand that learning an instrument requires consistency and encouragement, so I create a focused but supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. My goal is to help each student build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a genuine enjoyment of playing the viola.

My approach to teaching viola focuses on building strong fundamentals in a patient and supportive environment. I primarily work with beginners and help intermediate students strengthen their technique and confidence. I understand that starting a string instrument can feel overwhelming, so I break everything down into simple, manageable steps. I focus on posture, instrument positioning, bow hold, tone production, rhythm accuracy, and music reading to create a strong technical foundation.
My lessons are best suited for beginner to intermediate viola students, including elementary and early middle school musicians who are starting the instrument, preparing for school orchestra, or working toward auditions.
