About Lauren

I have been giving tutoring lessons since 2016. I began my tutoring journey in 2016 as a peer tutor, tutoring students with their homework and assignments. From there, I then became a volunteer tutor for Mount Druitt Ethnics Communities Agency, and most recently a volunteer tutor for Story Factory, and as a tutor for Alchemy Tuition. Throughout my four years of tutoring, I have had more than 15 students, and it continues to increase. My previous students were able to improve in not just their academic skills, but also their confidence. I am a tutor who will guide my students every step of the way, always there for support when they need it.

About the lesson

I make sure that my students always benefit from my tutoring sessions. My main goal for each of my students is not just to increase and improve their marks, but also to increase their confidence and find their potential - I always want to support my students in the best way that I can and help them see their potential.

During the first lesson, I like to take the time to get to know my new student, and see what their skills are, and what they need to work on. Then, I develop a brief learning plan and that's what we will go through every session. In every session, I provide the parents (so they can pass on to their child) a lesson plan for the session so that they know ahead of time what to expect, and can inform me if they would like to add in or change anything. After every session, I provide my students and their parents valuable feedback so that they can easily monitor their progress and see how well they are improving.

In regards to my teaching style, my teaching style easily adapts to every student based on how they learn best. If they learn better visually, then my lessons will be of visual presentation. If they learn better by listening, then I provide them a detailed lesson on how to improve their skills, it all depends. That's why the first lesson is valuable to me as I get to know my new students, and I am able to support them the best way that I can.
