About Tshepo
I grew up quite nomadic (moving schools every 2-3 years) either due to finances or my parents' ambitions. Although it made proving myself academically really hard, I'm grateful for every disappointment because it's made me a passionate advocate for the underdog. I am most equipped to teach pop, R&B and musical theater, but would love to explore the genres you want to sing; from jazz to country & more. I started learning piano at the tender age of 6, and over the years have applied this history to songwriting. I often reached dead ends when trying to make something of myself, but managed to make the most of every opportunity regardless of how unpredictable my circumstances were. Heck, now I play the bass!

Learning an instrument can be overwhelming, believe me I know, but the beauty about music is that you learn by playing! And playing what makes you FEEL; singers & instrumentalists alike.
Our lessons can include a 5 minute jam-out to a song that's been in your head all day or simply a chance for you to vent about something bothering you before we get into the formal tutoring.
We'll go through scales, chord progressions, and work on a song of your choosing. Even a difficult song can be tackled from different angles. :)
I'm here to be your sister, friend, or stoic instructor; should you prefer that! Learning can be light-hearted so let's explore your uncharted potential.
