About Jose

As a Berklee College of Music graduate, I bring both technical expertise and real-world experience to my lessons. I am passionate about helping students grow as musicians, whether they are just starting out or looking to deepen their skills. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners and understand how to adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s pace and goals. My background in music production and classical guitar gives me a well-rounded perspective that combines creativity with precision. Having studied with Grammy Award winner Berta Rojas, I also value the importance of patience, discipline, and expression in music. You can expect lessons that are organized, supportive, and focused on real progress. I take my role as a tutor seriously and am committed to creating a space where students feel confident and motivated to learn.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be hands-on, creative, and adapted to each student’s unique goals. Whether we’re working on music production or classical guitar, I aim to make every session practical and inspiring. I break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps, and I focus on building both technical ability and artistic confidence over time.

A typical lesson might include exploring a new production concept—like layering synths or shaping sound with EQ—followed by a creative task where the student applies that technique in a short track or project. For guitar, I guide students through exercises in technique and musical interpretation, while gradually introducing classical repertoire based on their level.

What sets me apart is my dual background as a trained sound designer and experienced classical guitarist. I studied at Berklee College of Music and also had the chance to work with Grammy Award winner Berta Rojas, which gave me a deep appreciation for both technical precision and expressive playing. My lessons are ideal for beginners through intermediate students, whether you're producing your first track, preparing for an audition, or simply exploring music more seriously.
