About Uge

With 7 years of professional teaching experience and nearly 150 successful students, I am passionate about helping learners achieve musical excellence through flute training.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and student-centred. I focus on breath management, tone production, articulation clarity, finger agility, and rhythmic accuracy.

I believe mastering these essentials creates a solid base for advanced repertoire and performance confidence. I adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles, ensuring that each student understands clearly and progresses comfortably.

I provide consistent feedback and measurable goals to track improvement. One of my key strengths is maintaining discipline while keeping lessons motivating and enjoyable. My mission is to nurture independent, skilled, and expressive flute players who continue learning with dedication and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology emphasises mastery through gradual progression, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that students learn best when lessons are structured, personalised, and paced according to their individual learning style.

I begin with fundamental techniques, including posture, breath control, embouchure formation, and tone production. Once students are confident, I introduce finger exercises, scales, articulation practice, and rhythm drills. Advanced lessons focus on expressive phrasing, dynamics, and musical interpretation.

Alongside practical training, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm comprehension. This integrated approach ensures students develop both technical skills and a deep understanding of music.

Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons according to each student’s goals, whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal growth. Collaboration is encouraged through discussions, repertoire selection, and shared practice strategies.
