Hi! I’m a bilingual English–Mandarin tutor from Singapore, and I help beginners build confidence in practical, everyday Chinese.
My lessons are especially suitable for English-speaking adults who are new to Mandarin or who understand a little Chinese but struggle to speak naturally. I explain vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation, and tones clearly in English, so you won’t feel lost during the lesson.
Rather than memorising long vocabulary lists, we’ll focus on using Chinese in real situations—introducing yourself, ordering food, travelling, shopping, talking about your daily life, and having simple conversations.
My teaching style is structured but supportive. We’ll work at a comfortable pace while still making steady progress, with regular review and speaking practice so that what you learn actually sticks.
I have several years of experience teaching one-to-one private lessons, which has taught me how to adapt lessons to different learning speeds and explain difficult concepts step by step.
