About Nathalie

I’m a bilingual French and English university student based in London, currently studying Politics and International Relations alongside French law.

Having studied and lived in both English- and French-speaking academic environments, I understand the challenges that can come with learning and using a second language — especially when it comes to speaking confidently, understanding grammar and sounding natural.

I’m friendly, patient and adaptable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe learning a language should be encouraging and enjoyable rather than stressful.

Because I speak both French and English fluently, I’m able to explain French grammar, vocabulary and expressions clearly in English when necessary, while gradually encouraging students to use more French as their confidence develops.

I tailor my approach to each student’s level, goals and preferred way of learning, whether they are studying French academically, starting from scratch or simply looking to improve their conversational skills.

Above all, my aim is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students can make genuine progress and feel increasingly confident using French.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m a bilingual French and English university student based in London, and I offer friendly, relaxed French lessons tailored to your level and goals.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, studying French at school, want to improve your grammar and vocabulary, or simply want to feel more confident speaking French, I’ll adapt each lesson to what you need.

Because I speak both French and English fluently, I can explain difficult French grammar and expressions clearly in English when needed — while also helping you gradually become more comfortable speaking and understanding French naturally.

My lessons can include:

• Conversational French and speaking practice
• Pronunciation and confidence when speaking
• Grammar and vocabulary
• Reading and listening comprehension
• Beginner and intermediate French
• Help with school French and revision
• Everyday French for travel or living in a French-speaking country
• French conversation for adults who want to maintain or improve their level

I want lessons to feel encouraging rather than intimidating. Mistakes are completely normal when learning a language, so we’ll work at your pace and focus on areas that will make the biggest difference to your confidence.

Lessons are personalised, so before we start I’ll ask about your level, what you want to improve and what you’d like to achieve.
