About Sarah

I am a native French speaker who emigrated to Australia in 2007. After building a career in translation, I transitioned into education, where I have worked at Macquarie University as a lecturer and tutor in the translation program, supporting students in preparing for NAATI accreditation.

French is not only my profession but also a central part of my personal life. I am raising my children bilingually and have been intentionally teaching and nurturing their French language skills since birth. This gives me a deep understanding of both formal language instruction and natural language acquisition.

I am approachable and supportive, and I aim to make learning engaging, purposeful and tailored to each student’s goals. My lessons are structured yet dynamic, helping students build confidence, accuracy and real-world language skills.

About the lesson

I take a project-based approach to teaching at all levels, designing lessons around clear goals and meaningful outcomes. Sessions run for one to two hours, depending on each student’s needs and focus area.
I have been tutoring since high school, and for the past 10 years I have worked at Macquarie University as a tutor in the French translation program.
My aim is to help students build lasting skills and confidence.
