About Zoe
Hi, I’m Zoe, a bilingual Greek–English speaker with a genuine passion for helping adults feel confident learning Modern Greek. Having grown up bilingual, I understand both the language itself and the challenges learners face when starting something new as an adult.
I take a patient, supportive approach to teaching and focus on making lessons clear, practical, and enjoyable. My aim is to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace.
I’m reliable, organised, and committed to delivering one-to-one lessons that are tailored to each learner’s goals, whether for travel, personal interest, or reconnecting with the language.

My approach and methodology
I take a relaxed, practical approach to teaching Modern Greek, focusing on communication and confidence rather than memorisation. Lessons are structured but flexible, and adapted to each learner’s goals and pace. I introduce conversation from an early stage, alongside clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary in English where helpful.
Lesson structure and length
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes speaking practice, listening, and short focused exercises. Lessons are one-to-one and tailored to the learner, with plenty of time for questions and recap. There is no pressure, and progress is built step by step.
Experience and background
I am a bilingual Greek–English speaker with a strong understanding of how adults learn a new language. While I do not follow a rigid syllabus, I structure lessons carefully to ensure learners feel supported, comfortable, and confident using Greek in real situations.
Who the lessons are for
My lessons are for adult learners and beginners, including those learning Greek for travel, personal interest, or to reconnect with their heritage. No prior knowledge is required.
