About Jake
I have studied French since middle school, and continued to pursue the language at university in the US and in France, with relevant coursework in literature and art history. Since graduating from Middlebury College, I taught English in Corsica for a year, and now live and work as a bilingual professional in the Portland area.

I believe in formulating coursework based on my students' interests and needs, with the goal of pushing to express themselves honestly and accurately in writing and in speaking. While I will provide some lesson-based work, I prefer to focus on conversation or honing written pieces.
