About Teodora
My name is Teodora, I am a recent graduate of Biochemistry at the University of Waterloo. What's interesting about my path is that I actually started out in psychology. I was considering medical school at the time, so I took intro organic chemistry in my second year. Although it was difficult, I was almost immediately hooked! Soon after, I switched into Biochemistry, and have been pursuing organic chemistry ever since. I have had the privilege of working two organic chemistry research jobs. The first was at the National Research Council, where I synthesized organic solar cell materials. The second was at a University of Waterloo lab, where I used hypervalent iodine to explore new chemical reactions. In addition, I have experience working as a teaching assistant at the university level and as a science instructor of a day camp at the middle school level.

My approach for teaching organic chemistry is to dive deep into problems that a student is currently facing. Organic chemistry can be tough, and I believe that the best way to master it is by tackling one problem at a time. The lessons are for introductory organic chemistry courses (second year university) or at a grade 12 high school level.
