About Hannah
Biological Sciences at Durham University is the first step for me in my career into plant related biologies, with a fixation on GMO crop development and adaptations, for the sake of sustainability where climate change is enhancing the food security crisis. Although this is my area of interest, I am highly proficient in most, if not all other areas of biology as my degree is broad in content.
I am approachable and have a deep understanding of the stress that students can be under during both non-exam and exam times, and this is reflected by the fact that I am a Health and Wellbeing Officer. Therefore, I am the ideal candidate for tutoring students doing Biology!

My teaching methodology is entirely based on student needs and what works for that student. However, my go-to techniques include assisted active recall, practise papers and questions, aiding in mark scheme learning (increasingly significant for biology at A-Level), and teaching content in fun and interactive ways where understanding isn't complete.
In the understanding that students vary highly, I am willing to do varying lengths of lessons (between 1-3 hours) at a time, however I am willing for negotiations on this, so please get in contact if you have any queries or suggestions.
I have tutored for a couple years, both on other sites and in person. Thus, I have developed skills, teaching techniques, and experience required.
