About Camila

Hello! My name is Camila, and it's a pleasure to share my passion for the study of life and its infinite forms with you all. I have a degree in Biological Sciences from UNICAMP and I am immersed in a path of continuous learning. I have a strong inclination towards plant systematics and ecology, areas that were the focus of my academic research.

In addition to my academic background, I've had the opportunity to be involved in research projects. During my undergraduate research, I studied the pollination biology of a plant species commonly known as beach morning glory (Ipomoea pes-caprae). This experience allowed me to dive even deeper into the understanding of ecological relationships and also learn about research.

Outside the academic world, I greatly enjoy photography, especially when it comes to capturing the beauty of plants and animals. Through the lens of my camera, I try to capture scenes that might sometimes go unnoticed by others.

My passion for teaching goes beyond sharing knowledge - it's about inspiring and empowering students to become curious explorers of the world around them. I believe that one of the greatest joys in life is witnessing the awe of students when they make a new discovery or connect seemingly distant concepts.

As an educator, I embrace multiple approaches and methodologies to teaching, seeking to engage students in various ways. In addition to Problem-based Learning, I also use methodologies such as:

Cooperative Learning: I promote group activities where students work together to achieve common goals, developing collaboration and communication skills.
Inquiry-Based Learning: I encourage students to explore concepts through experimentation and discovery, stimulating curiosity and autonomy.
Project-Based Learning: I challenge students to develop practical and interdisciplinary projects, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world situations.

I believe that the diversity of methodologies not only enriches the learning process but also caters to the different needs and learning styles of students.

I've had the opportunity to teach at different levels of education, from middle school to high school. Throughout these years, I've learned to adapt my teaching style to the specific needs of each group of students, always maintaining a stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
