Hi, I’m Sara! I’m a math and science tutor with 4 years of experience helping students build confidence, strengthen understanding, and improve academic performance. About the lesson

My Approach: I believe that learning works best when it feels clear, structured, and tailored to the student. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using real-world examples to make abstract topics easier to grasp. I also encourage active problem-solving rather than passive memorization, so students develop the tools to think independently. Lesson Structure: A typical lesson starts with reviewing what the student is currently working on in class and identifying any areas of difficulty. We then dive into targeted explanations and practice problems, working together step by step. I include short check-ins throughout to make sure the material “clicks” before moving on. At the end of each session, I provide a recap and a few take-home strategies or practice questions to reinforce learning. What Sets Me Apart: I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to making sure students truly understand the material instead of just “getting through” assignments. I also personalize lessons to each student’s goals: whether that’s raising grades, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills for long-term success. Who I Teach: I work with middle school, high school, and college-level students in subjects like algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, biology, and other science classes (feel free to message me about what subject you need assistance in).
