About Rajvir
Boost your confidence with a supportive, qualified teacher
I have 10 years' experience as a qualified science teacher and tutor; teaching biology, chemistry and physics at KS3 and GCSE. My A-Level specialisation is biology. I taught in several secondary schools and colleges, and I am working as science teacher at one of the school based in London.
My teaching style is structured, but patient, friendly and relaxed, and I aim to bring out the best in, and support, my students, whatever their ability level. I use the first session to establish what help is needed, how the student learns best, and what their current ability level and target levels are. This also gives them an opportunity to ask questions and enables me to suggest an initial tutoring plan. In further sessions I use a variety of resources to suit different learning styles, and to increase confidence. I give regular feedback and use a variety of assessment methods to check understanding and progress.
I have taught content for the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards, and am familiar with each syllabus.
