About Somya
I am a Life Sciences graduate, currently pursuing MSc in Zoology, with a strong academic foundation in Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Human Physiology. I have always been deeply curious about understanding life at the cellular, molecular, and organismal levels, and this curiosity naturally grew into a passion for learning and teaching. I believe knowledge becomes meaningful only when it is shared and clearly understood, not memorized. During my academic journey, I realized that many students struggle with Biology not because the subject is difficult, but because concepts are often taught in a rushed or rote-learning manner. This inspired me to share my knowledge in a simple, concept-based, and student-friendly way. I want to teach because I enjoy breaking down complex biological concepts into easy explanations, guiding students patiently, and helping them overcome fear of the subject. My goal is to build strong fundamentals, boost confidence, and develop genuine interest in Life Sciences while supporting academic success. For me, teaching is not just about exams—it is about nurturing curiosity, understanding, and lifelong learning.

I teach Biology with a concept-based and student-centric approach, focusing on clarity, visuals, and real-life examples. Each topic is explained from basics to exam level, ensuring strong understanding, regular revision, and confidence in the subject. I begin each topic from the basic level, gradually moving to advanced concepts according to the student’s pace. Complex processes like cell division, genetics, molecular biology, and physiology are explained using simple language, diagrams, flowcharts, and step-by-step breakdowns.
