About Maggie

I am a qualified doctor with a strong academic background in biology, including A-level expertise. Alongside my studies and clinical training, I have several years of experience tutoring students throughout school and university.
I focus on explaining complex topics clearly, building confidence, and helping students achieve their academic goals. My approach is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs, with a strong emphasis on exam technique and understanding.

About the lesson

My name is Maggie and I’m a doctor with a strong passion for teaching biology, anatomy and pathophysiology. I love helping students understand complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and approachable way, whether it’s breaking down cellular processes or exploring human physiology.
I provide lessons for GCSE, A Level and University level students.
My teaching style is supportive and student-focused. I aim to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and tailor each session to suit individual learning styles and goals. I believe biology, anatomy and pathophysiology become much more interesting when you can connect it to real-life applications, and I enjoy bringing those connections into my lessons.

My fee includes the lessons as well as resources I will provide after each lesson. I give students personally made presentations which include all the information needed for specific exam boards. In addition, I also give homework, sometimes involving worksheets and often exam style questions so students can familiarise themselves. This homework will also be marked and feedback will be given to students. All these services are included in my fee.
