About Azad
I have excellent science communication and writing skills. I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge (Medical Science). I have a Master of Science degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto. have peer-reviewed publications and more than 10 years of science experience. I love teaching biology and do my best to prepare my students for exams and get them good marks. My top priority is the student's academic success. I will use my teaching skills to get you to the apex of knowledge with enthusiasm and productivity along the road.
My approach to tutoring is to initiate your interest and to spark your curiosity which is ingrained in all of us. Using the Socratic method of teaching which involves constructive discussions and argumentative dialogue makes the topics and concepts more interesting and easier to understand. I always get positive feedback from my previous students. I love teaching and make the most of it to help my students.
If you are studying specifically for exams, midterms, or finals then I will aim our sessions in a specific direction to teach you some nice tricks to properly address test questions and get you good marks. I will teach you how to properly address questions and increase your exam performance to make you an A+ student and the only pre-requisite I need from you is your curiosity. I use a lot of resources for teaching including many quizzes for practice, past midterms/exams, large screen TV, whiteboard, access to large seminar rooms etc.
If you scored low in your first midterm there is nothing to worry about as I will prepare a specific schedule targeting the second midterm and the final exam to increase your overall course mark.
