About Joshua
Outside of tutoring, I'm a passionate writer and have self-published two books, including a poetry collection exploring reflection and identity. I'm also into sports and chess, both of which taught me patience and problem-solving skills that carry directly into how I teach and break down difficult material.

Hi, I'm Joshua. I tailor every lesson to your specific course and what you're being tested on, rather than teaching from a generic outline. Sessions run like this: we review what you're stuck on, work through practice problems together with me guiding rather than just giving answers, then move to new material once the basics are solid. You leave each session knowing exactly what to focus on next.
What sets me apart: I've done immuno-oncology research and have a strength & conditioning background, so I can tie biology and physiology concepts to how the body actually works, not just textbook definitions.
I work with high school through university students in biology, anatomy, and physiology, including exam prep and students building a stronger foundation for upcoming coursework.
