About Melissa
I am a biomedical engineering student with experience in math, science, and english courses. I have been a learning assistant for college courses in math for 2 years, and am currently a learning assistant for Calculus 2. I have experience in giving lessons to students at all levels, and I am proficient with concepts for K-12 and college levels. I base my lessons on making sure the students have a good conceptual understanding for what they are learning, and that they are able to complete homework examples on their own, no matter how long that may take. I approach each topic by first seeing what the student already knows, and try to make connections with their previous knowledge so that the understanding of a concept is solid.
