Hi! I’m a biomedical postgraduate student with a strong passion for communicating biological concepts clearly and effectively. I graduated with a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree and am currently pursuing postgraduate research in cancer biology, where I work closely with complex biological systems and scientific data on a daily basis.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve always enjoyed academic discussion and helping others master challenging theories and skills. I remember when I first started as an intern and felt like it was an uphill task to understand new scientific concepts, especially while working through mountains of research papers. At the time, I wished I had more guidance. Now, with the experience I’ve gained, I hope to be that guide for students navigating biology, whether it’s for school exams, university coursework, or research projects. My experience helping university peers with academic writing and research presentations has also strengthened my ability to explain complex topics in a clear and approachable way.

My teaching style prioritizes genuine understanding rather than memorization. Biology becomes much easier when concepts are explained step-by-step and connected logically, and I aim to help students develop this way of thinking. I strive to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring topics in depth.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than relying on memorization. Biology can often feel overwhelming because of the amount of information involved, but I break down complex biological topics into clear, logical explanations and guide students through the reasoning behind each concept. This method helps students build strong foundations, think critically, and apply their knowledge confidently in exams, assignments, and scientific writing.

In my lessons, I adapt my teaching style to the needs of each student. Sessions usually begin with identifying the key concepts or problem areas, followed by structured explanations, diagrams, and guided problem-solving. I also encourage students to ask questions and actively engage with the material, which helps reinforce understanding and improve retention. For students working on assignments or reports, I also provide guidance on academic and scientific writing, helping them communicate biological ideas clearly and effectively.

A typical lesson lasts 60–90 minutes, which allows sufficient time to review concepts, work through exam-style questions, and address any difficulties the student may be facing. My goal is to create a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring challenging topics.

I hold a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA 3.99) from the University of Malaya and am currently a biomedical postgraduate researcher specializing in cancer biology. Through my research experience, I regularly work with complex biological systems and data analysis, which allows me to explain advanced concepts in a practical and accessible way.

In addition to academic training, I have experience mentoring new interns and research students in both theoretical and practical biological concepts, as well as providing personalized guidance on academic writing and scientific content to university peers.

My standard tutoring rate is RM60 per hour for online lessons, which are available for students in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and across Malaysia. Online lessons are conducted in a structured and interactive format using digital notes, diagrams, and guided problem-solving to ensure students fully understand the material.

To encourage consistent learning and help students make steady progress, I also offer discounted lesson packages:

Online Lessons

5-hour package: RM280 (RM56/hour)

10-hour package: RM540 (RM54/hour)

These packages are ideal for students preparing for major exams, coursework deadlines, or longer-term academic improvement, as regular sessions allow us to build a stronger understanding of concepts over time.

I also provide additional support for academic and scientific writing, including guidance on assignments, lab reports, and research presentations, particularly for students in pre-university and undergraduate life science programs.
