About Caleb
Hello, I'm Caleb, a Biomedical Science graduate currently working in the diagnostics industry. Over the past several years I have gained experience supporting laboratories through scientific troubleshooting, instrument installations, assay validation, customer training and technical support. My role requires me to communicate complex scientific information clearly and effectively, which is a skill I enjoy and continue to develop.
I have always found that I enjoy helping others understand biology, particularly when breaking difficult concepts down into simple, logical explanations. Alongside my academic background, my industry experience allows me to connect the biology taught in school with its real-world applications in healthcare and laboratory science.
I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex biological concepts into simple, understandable explanations tailored to each student's learning style. Lessons typically combine topic review, worked examples, active questioning and exam-style practice to build both understanding and confidence. Sessions are usually 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required.
I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science and currently work in the diagnostics industry, where I regularly provide scientific support, troubleshooting, training and technical explanations to laboratory professionals. This experience has helped me develop the ability to communicate scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Biology students. Whether you are aiming to improve grades, prepare for exams or strengthen your understanding of biology, I will tailor lessons to your individual goals and areas of difficulty.
