About Nour
I know firsthand how challenging the IB can be. Before starting the program, I struggled to find effective ways to study, and many of the methods taught in school didn’t work for me. It took trial, error, and learning from repeated failure to discover strategies that truly helped me understand and retain material. Through this process, I not only improved my grades but also developed a deep understanding of how to learn efficiently and effectively. Now, as a Biomedical undergraduate, I want to help students bypass the frustrating phase of figuring out how to study and instead focus on mastering the concepts, building confidence, and achieving their full potential. My goal is to provide guidance that is both practical and tailored to each student’s learning style, so they can succeed without repeating the mistakes I once made.

My teaching methods are shaped by my personal experience as an IB student, refined through trial and error. I approach Chemistry and Biology differently because each subject requires unique strategies. In Chemistry, I emphasize understanding the fundamental concepts and applying them consistently through extensive practice questions, rather than relying solely on memorization. Biology, on the other hand, often involves active recall and spaced repetition, but I believe—perhaps contrary to popular opinion—that memorization alone is not enough. Like Chemistry, a deep understanding of the underlying concepts makes retention easier and learning more meaningful. Therefore, my lessons focus on building strong fundamentals through repeated explanations, problem-solving, and guided practice, ensuring students not only succeed in exams but truly master the material. The typical length of a lesson will be 1 hour, which i believe is the bare minimum for understanding a topic. Revision sessions can be shorter. My lessons are for IB/SPM/A-level students, as well as primary and secondary.
