About Omar
Hi! I’m Omar — a second-year Medical Sciences student at Western University with a 3.96 GPA and a passion for helping students truly understand science, not just memorize it. I self-studied AP Chemistry and AP Biology while living in a developing country and learning English at the same time — and still scored 5 in Chem and 4 in Bio. Since then, I’ve thrived in university, scoring 90s in all my biology and chemistry courses, and gaining experience as a Prep101 prep session advisor and notetaker. I’ve also worked with Western’s Accessible Education department, helping students with learning disabilities succeed in tough courses. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, lost, or behind — and I also know how to help students push through that and succeed. As a Med Sciences student at Western University with a 3.96 GPA, I offer tutoring in AP Chemistry, AP Biology, high school science, and first-year university bio and chem. I focus on helping students truly understand the material — not just memorize it. My sessions are interactive and clear, using real-life examples, visuals, and targeted practice to make complex topics make sense. I structure each lesson around what the student needs most — whether it’s breaking down difficult concepts, working through practice problems, or building smart test strategies. I’ve worked as a Prep101 advisor and notetaker for biology, chemistry, and physics, and I’ve also supported students with learning disabilities through Accessible Education at Western. That experience taught me how to be patient, flexible, and how to explain things in a way that actually sticks. I also self-studied and scored well on AP Bio and Chem while learning English in a low-resource environment, so I understand what it’s like to feel behind — and how to catch up.
