About Mohammad Yusuf
I am a secondary school teacher and have worked in various school around east London. I have over 15 years of teaching experience. This gives me confidence both in subject content and exam techniques. I have suitable experience of not only teaching but also supporting trainee teachers in local secondary schools.
My aim and focus has always been to make children independent learners so they gain a valuable life skills which will help them in future.

Subjects I teach: GCSE Maths and all sciences
Location: Online (can consider face2face depending up on the demand and my availability)
Lesson structure: lessons are typically 1 hour long
Step1: Recap questions (and feedback on h/w) from previous lesson and introduce new topic and key terms
Step2: discuss/explain the new concept/method and where applicable connect to previous/future learning. Students will be required to participate in the discussion. At times they be required watch a short video 5/6 mins long and answer directed open questions.
Step 3: class work activities depending up on the topic. This could be individual or collective task/s.
Step 4: assess learning and understanding midway
Step5: outcome from step 4 is then used to correct misconceptions and reinforce understanding.
Step 6 Plenary (summary of the lesson) this could be as quiz/games/short practice questions, etc.
