Both classically and conceptually trained visual artist with Russian heritage teaches in both English and Russian

I've been taking painting classes with Alexandra for about 2-3 years. She is very reliable, always present, always thinking about what her students wish to learn and try. She provides lots of support and affirmation as well as information about painting technique and composition. She's very bright and fun and class is always a high point of my week!

I had no experience painting when I came to Alexandra 3 years ago. She is very knowledgeable about all styles of painting. She knows all the artists. She can guide you in the direction you want to go even when you don't know where you are going. I have learned a lot from Alexandra. She is a great teacher. She doesn't push her taste and style on you. She helps when you ask without being overbearing. She offers suggestions when you get stuck and lets you run with your ideas unless she thinks you are going in the wrong direction and only then will she nudge you. I have been very happy with every work of art I have produced and grown a tremendous amount. I highly recommend her.
