About Gareth
I have taught several brass players and taken them successfully through grades. I'm currently the Professional Musical Director of City of Oxford Silver Band so know what it is like to perform and be at the front.
I have also been a member of Wantage Silver Band for over 20 years, progressing from beginners band to Championship level or the highest standard.
I'm currently studying for an MSc in Digital Media Production at Oxford Brookes University, having graduated in Sound Technology and Digital Music in 2017 and have made numerous recordings of brass bands.

I am quite happy teaching any brass player from beginners to more advanced and can tailor my teaching to meet their needs. I would generally assess the player first, then ask what they wish to get out of their lessons and finally make a practice schedule for them.
