About Ivan
I am a native Portuguese speaker from Rio de Janeiro, which means I have a 'Carioca' accent when speaking my mother tongue! I am a high-level English speaker (near C1 level) and I have also had the opportunity to work with students from Portugal, giving me a good understanding of European Portuguese. As a tutor, I am friendly, respectful, and very attentive to my students' needs. I prioritize creating a comfortable and safe environment in my classes, as I believe students learn best when they feel at ease to speak and make mistakes. My goal is to be a supportive mentor on your learning journey.
