About Tiago
I am very familiar with the Suzuki Method (mainly for children) and I also use a method suitable for older students, presenting several fundamentals and topics that I consider essential for a healthy and efficient practice of the instrument. In addition to the kinetic and mechanical skills, I help students to develop the perceptive and musical skills. I propose perception exercises, such as solfeggio and the internalization of chords; moments of improvisation and composition; arrangements of themes for the instrument; and I also help students to record themselves in order to develop their musicality.

I am a piano student with over 10 years of experience and I started giving lessons some time ago. I am familiar with several teaching methods, as my background was varied. My first years of study were more focused on the classical piano school and some time ago I started to study the popular aspect of the instrument quite intensively. Therefore, I can play (and teach) different genres on the piano. Throughout my training, I played in groups of different configurations and attended several educational events on piano and music. Some of the most memorable are: the first edition of MUSIVOTI; Universal Music Workshop, given by the bassist of Hermeto Pascoal & Grupo, Itiberê Zwarg; and two editions of the Suzuki Meeting of Young Players. Currently, I am studying with the pianist from Hermeto Pascoal & Grupo, André Marques.
