About Cam
I’m a medical student at the University of Bristol and medical education scholar at the University of Nottingham with 3 years of experience in tutoring.
My experience includes GCSE sciences and maths, as well as A-level Biology, and I have experience in both 1-to-1 and group sessions.
All of my tutoring is tailored to each students abilities, preferences, and aims. And I am always happy to re-evaluate and alter my teaching methods to support students that are struggling.

My sessions are flexible to each individual’s needs but my general layout is as follows:
1) A short 5-10 minute review of the previous session’s work to check understanding and recap any important points.
2) A typical taught section lasting around 40 minutes using either revision notes or PowerPoints depending on the subject/topic
3) A 10 minute section to look through example questions and work through them with the student, explaining how to analyse and answer the question type whilst also testing their knowledge from the session.
4) (optional) setting homework usually either to produce a specific revision resource for their own learning later or a question set which I will mark the following week and provide feedback on during the review section. I keep this part optional as some students will have heavier workloads than others and may not need the added stress of extra homework every week.
All online lessons will be carried out via an online whiteboard with an optional video chat setting. The whiteboard will be converted to a PDF for the students to view at a later date. In addition to this the sessions will be recorded as an MP4 file for the students to replay when revising. (This is an optional feature and I will discuss it with every student during their first session).
