• Achieved high grades in Biochemistry and Biology-focused modules
• Completed and passed the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) portfolio and registration exam
• A level Biology, Chemistry and Business
My academic journey started at school, where I realised the key to success was understanding my own learning style. Once I worked out how I learned best, my grades significantly improved and that approach has stayed with me ever since.
With a strong foundation from GCSE and A-Level (including A-Level Chemistry and Biology), combined with my university training, I understand both the content and the exam techniques needed to succeed.
I now use that experience to help students find their best way of learning and reach their full potential.

How I Teach
I always begin with an initial session to understand:
• Your current level
• Areas you want to improve
• What you want to achieve from tutoring
We start learning straight away using targeted questions and short practice tasks to identify any areas that you want to improve on.
• Throughout our journey, I identify your learning style (visual, step-by-step, exam practice, discussion-based etc.) and tailor sessions to how you learn best.
• Lessons are structured around your exam board and goals (AQA, OCR, Edexcel etc.).
Each session includes:
• Clear, simple explanations of complex topics
• Regular past paper practice and mark scheme focus
• Diagrams, flow charts & real-world examples (including hospital lab experience)
• Exam technique strategies to maximise marks
• A supportive, confidence-building environment
For university students, I also help with:
• Lab reports
• Scientific writing & referencing
• Data interpretation
• Understanding complex biomedical/science topics
I aim to improve your own understanding to help improve grades, build confidence, and develop independent study skills that last beyond exams.
I also offer IBMS Portfolio support and interview preparation.
