About Aimee Rebecca
My name is Aimee and I an currently studying Medicine at The University of Edinburgh. I love to teach and have enjoyed teaching in different environments and with children from different backgrounds. I have been a student myself for many years now and have been exposed to many different teaching and studying styles. I have learnt in many different ways and understand that different students have different needs as a learner. I hope to inspire my students to aim high and work hard to achieve their goals while also reminding them there are many paths to success. I myself have taken the scenic route into my medical career having studied Chemistry first at the University of Glasgow. I want my students to enjoy my lessons and find a way in which learning is fun and rewarding to them.

Experience:
- Teaching a second year level high school Maths class (during teacher shortages).
- Teaching Maths one to one in a primary school.
- Teaching Maths and English one to one in a Fijian primary school.
Lessons typically last one hour and focus on understanding the key concepts of the subject before moving onto more in depth work. Quizzing throughout sessions will be included in an unintimidating manor to encourage active recall. It is always good to get an idea of areas for improvement so that these can be targeted and therefore I may start with a short set of questions to identify these. And of course I hope that every lesson is fun and engaging for the student.
