About Josh
Josh graduated from the University of Bedfordshire in 2017 with a first-class Bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Following this, he was awarded the University’s Jubilee Scholarship in order to undertake a Masters by Research in Exercise Immunology. This research project investigated the influence of intensified aerobic exercise on neutrophilic pro-inflammatory cytokine production.
In late 2020, Josh was awarded with a Postgraduate Diploma (distinction) from the Institute of Performance Nutrition. Josh then began a funded PhD studentship at Loughborough University in January 2021 in Physiology and Nutrition. During this, Josh published several seminal studies broadly focused on the effects of exercise and supplements on cell signalling pathways in humans. Since finishing his PhD, Josh now works as a Research Associate in Exercise Nutrition at Loughborough University in which he conducts research on the influence of nutritional supplements on recovery from exercise.
Throughout his career, Josh has taught students from an UG to MSc level in the disciplines of Sport Science, Sport Nutrition, and Strength and Conditioning. He has also presented at several internationally renowned conferences and undertook guest speaking at numerous UK Universities.
