About Erin
I am a BSc student at the University of Johannesburg, currently pursuing my masters degree in Zoology. I have experience tutoring life sciences (biology) to numerous high school students and I have an in depth knowledge of biology as I have learnt it at a university-level as part of completing my degree.

My teaching method is to first identify the areas of concern that the student feels will need specific attention. I then construct my lesson plan around that - I usually provide a brief introductory lesson to the concept and then I find practice questions or possible test questions to test the student’s understanding. I will then gauge whether the student needs further attention on the specific topic or whether we can move on (also taking the student’s confidence in the new knowledge into account). I like to assign small homework tasks to test understanding and to ensure the student keeps working on the subject.
