About Cyndy

I am from Australia and a native English speaker. I have a diploma in teaching and TEFL qualifications with ten years successfully tutoring children in Malaysia and from Japan, China and Korea. My students are aged from 4 to 12 years. I have students who have stayed with me for years and continue to keep in touch, sending me Happy Teacher’s Day and other festive wishes. About the lesson

No two students are the same, therefore I plan my lessons to align with the students’ needs and level. Focus is placed on vocabulary and grammar with patient, caring and child-friendly teaching. Your child will learn phonics and how to speak and listen confidently. My classes provide a fun environment to learn English. For younger students and those who are new to English, I use Scholastic’s World of English program as part of my lessons. It is an interactive program with colourful illustrations and animation, engaging games, memorable songs and characters, together with structured modules, activities and assessments. It provides a fun and engaging way for young learners to begin building their English skills and confidence.
I find that a two-hour lesson works particularly well for my students, allowing time for a variety of activities while keeping lessons engaging and productive. Lesson length can be adjusted to suit the age and needs of each student. Lessons are for students aged from 4 to 12 years.

My standard rate is RM75 per hour. I understand that every family has different circumstances, so if you are interested in lessons but have concerns about the cost, please feel free to contact me.
