About the lesson

In today's fast-paced world, education can sometimes feel like a conveyor belt, where students are expected to learn at the same pace and in the same way as their peers. As a private tutor, I believe in a different approach – one that takes into account each student's unique needs and learning style. When I begin working with a new student, I make it a priority to get to know them on a personal level. I ask about their interests, hobbies, and aspirations, as well as their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to their studies. This helps me to tailor my teaching style and lesson plans to their individual needs and goals. I also prioritise building a rapport with my students, creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. This helps to build their confidence and encourages them to take ownership of their learning journey. In addition, I believe in providing regular feedback to my students and their parents or guardians. This helps to ensure that we are on track to achieving our goals, and enables us to make any necessary adjustments along the way. Ultimately, my aim as a private tutor is not just to help my students achieve academic success, but to empower them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in all areas of their lives. By adopting a personal approach to tutoring, I am able to support my students on their unique learning journey and help them to reach their full potential.
