About Alexis

I have worked as an independent consultant in a client based business for over twelve years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Administration and an MBA in Human Resources. I obtained both degrees from Brandman University consecutively in 2020, and 2022. I am presently based in Riverside, California where I am in the process of starting my own consulting firm. I have a passion for teaching, and enjoy helping others reach their desired educational goals and discovering their potential to be the best business professional that they can be.

About the lesson

I believe that one of the greatest voyages that a person will ever embark on is the pursuit of a higher education. My ambition is to help students grow, and develop new, and innovative ways to express their creativity and learning styles in a safe and open environment where no question asked, or answer given is ever wrong. I want students to gain self-awareness of the way that they learn so that they can better apply their learning style as they continue to advance to the next level. I hope to share my knowledge and experiences to make myself more relatable and approachable to my students. I strive to be the type of tutor who encourages their students to continue advancing at all costs.
I want students to be able to identify their learning styles fully so that they can develop ways to retain the material that will help them as they continue their higher education journey. I will view each teaching opportunity with optimism, consider my students as individuals, and respect their cultural and ethnic backgrounds without prejudice or assumptions. I will also recognize that my success as a tutor is completely contingent on the success of my students.
Current events and real-life situations are effective ways to teach how businesses or companies move, run, and advance through innovative ideas that are constantly changing. My primary goal is to lay a foundation that students can build on as they take what they learn into the workforce. There are always new experiences that students have not been prepared for once they get out into the world. Business operations are unpredictable. You have to be willing to be flexible and prepared for anything. Students will be provided the basic framework to build a working knowledge of the subject that they are studying.
