About Joe
I am a qualified teacher with experience as both a coordinator of Business & Economics in addition to teaching in a leading grammar school. I hold a BSc degree in Business Management from The University of Manchester as well as a PGDE from UCL Institute of Education, ranked World Number 1 for Education, 8 years running. I am continuing to study, part time, for a masters degree in Educational Leadership with UCL.
I have experience teaching:
A Level Economics, specialising in the AQA exam board.
A Level Business Studies, specialising in the EDEXCEL exam board.
GCSE business studies, specialising in the Edexcel exam board.

The structure of my lessons and my style of teaching is supported by world leading research into the theory of teaching and learning.
Lesson Structure:
1) Introducing theory at a basic level.
2) Deepening understanding through exploring real-world examples.
3) Cementing knowledge through activities.
4) Assessing student understanding in order to guide future lessons.
My lessons are always student-centred and have frequent opportunities for learners to interact and actively engage with the content. The effectiveness of this teaching style is supported by research and proven to improve exam performance.
