About Maruf
My name is Maruf Billah and I am a first generation American Citizen student at the university at Buffalo studying Business Administration. My goals in the future are to own my own South Asian cuisine restaurant to share my culture and open my own tutoring center as I have been a freelance tutor for the past year and a half.
On top of tutoring grades k-10 in math and english and providing results by mentoring my students into achieving exceptional grades and admission into dream institutes, I have held two internships having to do with childhood development helping me achieve an inviting and nurturing teaching style.
As an IB school graduate I have taken intensive writing and math courses that can help students acquire transferrable college credits and set up students for success in a post high school setting.
I look out for my students and make sure they are on top of their work while also acquiring new skills and knowledge and can guarantee a comfortable and safe teaching environment!

I can teach high school level students the fundamentals of essay writing by implementing strategies to make essay writing intriguing and engaging by providing inviting and interesting prompts and topics to write on.
I have taken an extensive AP level writing course which lead me to transferrable college credits and I aim to help others reach that benefit in a nurturing manner.
my lesson plans consist of fundamentals of rhetoric, debate papers and SAT prep.
