About Robin
I am a Business Management student at the University of Edinburgh with a genuine passion for helping students grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals. Having completed GCSEs, A Levels and now university-level study myself, I understand first-hand how challenging subjects like Maths and Psychology can sometimes feel and how much difference the right support can make.
I enjoy tutoring because I love seeing students go from feeling unsure about a topic to approaching it with confidence. My lessons are supportive, encouraging and tailored to each individual student, whether they need help strengthening core understanding, improving exam technique or simply building confidence in the subject.
Alongside my studies, I have developed strong communication and mentoring skills through leadership and professional roles, and I always aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

I take a supportive and structured approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students genuinely understand concepts rather than memorise content. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and confidence level, ensuring they feel comfortable asking questions and building their skills over time.
For Maths, I break problems down step by step and focus heavily on practice and problem-solving techniques. For Psychology and Business Studies, I focus on understanding key theories, essay structure and exam technique to help students achieve higher marks confidently.
Lessons are typically 45 minutes, with longer sessions available for GCSE and A Level exam preparation.
I tutor GCSE and A Level students in Maths, Psychology and Business Studies. As a Business Management student at the University of Edinburgh, I have strong experience across both analytical and essay-based subjects, alongside mentoring and leadership experience gained throughout university.
My overall aim is to create engaging, confidence-building lessons that help students improve both academically and personally.
