About Deshna
I remember the rigors of the IB program, the depth of chapters, and a lot of essay work- but I found my own techniques and built the skills to increase my performances. That’s why, with the experience I have, and the tricks I’ve learned along the way- I’m able to pass on the knowledge I have to my students. This way, they get the upper hand, and they excel in their concepts and practical work. I like to be hands-on as a tutor as well, it’s important to me to understand the student, and encourage- no matter which stage they are in their learning journey. I’m currently a 2nd year college student, so I’ve learned about in-depth business subjects, which enhances my knowledge in the subject as well. My classes are for students from grade 9-12, seeking tutoring and IA/EE guidance for business or environmental studies (CBSE/IGCSE/IBDP).
I prefer to understand how the student learns best and teach based on that- some individuals learn best through visual, auditory, or written learning. And I also teach my students studying tips, and exam tricks for the smoothest exam experience and answers possible.
I like to structure my classes in a way where the student can revise what happened in the previous class, learn new concepts, and practice a few questions towards the end of the class. And some classes would be dedicated to doubts and exam-style questions based on the student's needs.
As a teacher, I try to be as flexible as I can, understand the needs of my student, encourage them and guide them effectively.
