About Kiana
I recently completed the International Baccalaureate with the maximum score of 45 points, taking Higher Level Mathematics Applications and Interpretation, History, and Economics. Before that, I achieved nine grade 9s at GCSE, including a grade 9 in Mathematics. I will now be studying Environment, Law, and Economics at the University of Cambridge.
Having recently gone through GCSE and IB Mathematics myself, I understand how challenging the subject can sometimes feel and how important confidence is to success. I enjoy helping students develop their understanding by breaking difficult topics into clear, manageable steps and creating a supportive environment where questions are always encouraged. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more confident and independent mathematicians.

My Maths lessons are designed to be interactive, structured, and focused on building both confidence and exam success. I usually teach in one-hour sessions, breaking topics down into manageable steps and using worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions to reinforce understanding. Depending on the student’s needs, we might focus on difficult topics, problem-solving techniques, or work through past papers together.
Having achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and completed Higher Level Mathematics Applications and Interpretation as part of a 45-point International Baccalaureate diploma, I understand both the content and the challenges students face. I will be studying Environment, Law, and Economics at the University of Cambridge and aim to make Maths feel approachable, logical, and rewarding. My lessons are suited to GCSE and IB students looking to strengthen their understanding, improve exam technique, and achieve their target grades.
