About James
I am a Cambridge economics student who has just finished their first year of university, achieving a first. I previously took Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics at A Level, achieving all A*s and also received high grades at GCSE.
I have been awarded for my entry to the Dorian Fisher Memorial Prize essay competition and, throughout my sixth form experience, I had helped run extracurricular clubs including managing and teaching pupils ranging from Year 7 to Year 13.

My lessons are shaped by the specific topics within the course that the student is struggling with on a personal basis. I like to fully discuss the individual steps used by the student to solve the problems, in order to fully test their understanding. Thus, ensuring that they end the session with a complete knowledge of the relevant theoretical foundations underpinning the topic - supporting their ability to recall and master the content. There will also be the opportunity to review past material to help further engrain this knowledge in the long term.
For university applications, due to the nature of the content, the process will be a lot more linear and focus on the steps towards completing a competitive application for economics (and related disciplines), although, this will involve constant communication surrounding the student's individual experience and needs.
My lessons will typically be one hour, however, this is highly flexible.
