About Lloyd
I achieved 4 A* grades at A-level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, before going on to study Chemistry and Physics at the University of Bristol. I graduated 1st in my cohort, reflecting both academic excellence and consistent dedication.
I am now a Graduate Entry Medicine student at the University of Cambridge, where I continue to apply the analytical and problem-solving skills developed through my scientific training.
My academic journey, from achieving top grades at school, to ranking first at university, to studying medicine at Cambridge, gives me a clear understanding of what it takes to succeed at the highest level. I know how to approach demanding exams strategically, how to master complex scientific concepts, and how to perform under pressure.

My lessons are highly focused, structured, and centred around exam performance.
I believe the most effective way to master Chemistry and Physics is through working directly with exam questions. We start with carefully selected past-paper questions to identify strengths and weaknesses. From there, we break down the underlying concepts in depth, developing the ideas step-by-step so that understanding is secure rather than memorised.
A typical lesson involves:
- Attempting exam-style questions together
- Analysing mark schemes to understand exactly what earns marks
- Developing the theory behind common question types
- Refining exam technique and structured problem-solving
- Working through the student’s own written answers to improve clarity and precision
