About Brendan
I am a Cambridge Law graduate and Peking Law graduate. I chose to study in two very different universities, culturally, to gain new perspectives of the world. I was born in Malaysia but spend a lot of time living and studying abroad with the aim of becoming a more creative thinker. I have been a tutor for the past three years and am practicing as a lawyer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in commercial litigation. I guide students on LNAT, with most of my students getting 26 + and the highest being 31 out of 42, which is above standard and sufficient for Oxford and Cambridge. A few of my students get into Oxford and Cambridge every year. In all, I love to be a small part of their big journey, and hopefully yours too.

I help students bring out their true and authentic selves for university applications while mastering the logical reasoning skills essential for the LNAT. My classes are highly interactive, featuring brainstorming sessions and structured research assignments that develop critical thinking.
SMART USE OF AI IN LEGAL RESEARCH AND WRITING – Not leveraging AI tools in this day and age is a waste. But most people use it wrongly and get flagged for AI. I will guide you on the ethical limits of using AI to speed up your preparation for applications without falling foul of ethical standards, preparing you to be a law practitioner of the future.
Classes are conducted online via webcam, welcoming students worldwide. I prioritize hearing each student's story and aspirations, helping them navigate an uncertain future with confidence and clarity. Classes typically last an hour.

A classmate recommended Brendan to me while we were both applying for undergraduate law in the UK. He worked with me for about a year. His fees are affordable compared with other tutors, and his schedule is flexible—when needed, I could have lessons up to four times a week.
For the LNAT, Brendan taught useful techniques for the multiple-choice section and clearly explained the abstract, often confusing reasoning behind the answers. He also prepared questions and legal scenarios for mock interviews, then gave encouraging but constructive feedback and showed me how to answer specific questions. After a few weeks of practice, my confidence grew significantly.
Overall, Brendan is one of the most cordial, attentive, and passionate tutors I’ve met, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking law tutoring. My entire UK and HK application processes were made so much easier with Brendan's help. We had knowledge-building lessons for a year to give me a solid legal knowledge foundation so that the personal statement writing and interviews would be smoother. He helped me with writing strong, coherent personal statements for UCAS and HK universities (super pro at reducing the AI% of the text too, once helped me decrease the AI% from 94% to 0%), as well as LNAT and interview prepping. Throughout all these, Brendan has been extremely supportive and patient, giving me practical advice and detailed, constructive feedback, making every lesson very rewarding. During my interview prep for HKU law, one case study he gave me matched exactly with the actual interview question, which helped me tremendously in presenting a logical and comprehensive analysis, ultimately securing my HKU LLB + LLB & BA double degree offer. As an extra bonus, Brendan is honestly a really nice person to have a chat with; we've talked about university life, HK culture, and even gossip.
100% recommend him to anyone, you don't even have to be an aspiring law student to be assisted by him - my friend sought his help for a personal statement and secured a medicine offer.View more recommendations
