About Mengman
I am a PhD-trained researcher with an interdisciplinary background in computational science, biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, statistics, and artificial intelligence. I earned my PhD from the University of Cambridge and currently conduct biomedical research in San Diego.
My research involves Python and R programming, machine learning, statistical modeling, bioinformatics, and the analysis of large-scale biomedical datasets. I also have extensive experience reading scientific literature, solving complex research problems, and communicating technical concepts clearly.
I enjoy helping students understand difficult topics by breaking them down into simple, logical steps. Whether you are learning Python for the first time, struggling with statistics, exploring AI and data science, or working on an advanced research project, I am happy to adapt my teaching to your background and goals.

My lessons are personalized to each student’s background, goals, and learning pace. I teach Python, statistics, data science, AI/machine learning, and biology from fundamental concepts to advanced applications.
I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorize formulas or code. Lessons can include step-by-step explanations, practical coding exercises, real-world examples, problem solving, data analysis, and guidance on academic or research projects.
I can help beginners build a strong foundation as well as support university and graduate students with more advanced topics, including statistical modeling, machine learning, bioinformatics, and biomedical data analysis.
With my PhD and interdisciplinary research experience, I aim to make complex scientific and computational concepts clear, practical, and approachable.
