Cambridge Undergraduate Final Year Medic Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Maths - Shruti Das

I really enjoyed my virtual lessons with Shruti during Year 13! Her explanations were clear and concise, and the lesson plans were well thought-out, enabling me to revise topics efficiently and fill in gaps in my knowledge.

She was always really friendly and encouraging; she managed to instil confidence in me, which definitely helped a lot with my final assessments.

As well as Chemistry tuition, Shruti also helped me with reviewing my UCAS personal statement and with university interview preparation.

I found it really useful to have a tutor that had recently been through the A Level and UCAS process and so could give me relevant and helpful advice.

I began tutor lessons (biology and chemistry) with Shruti when I was stressing about my upcoming mocks and overdue school work. I didn't understand any of the work that I had been taught during quarantine, but with Shruti's help I was able to understand topics which made it significantly easier to catch up with the school work. Topics which took my teachers at school weeks to teach, Shruti managed to fit into an hour! I loved her method of teaching as it wasn't just her talking at me, it was very interactive and easy to follow. In regards to when our lessons would occur, she was very flexible with timings and was always well organised for the lessons.

Was very good at teaching me about the complex mathematical equations and science involved in some of the modules. Very friendly and approachable and so made asking questions comfortable.

I am unclear exactly what this reference system is asking for, due to the lack of instructions on this website, so apologies if this isn't what you wanted. Shruti is a medical student, whose studies I oversee at Churchill College at the University of Cambridge, where she is about to start year 3 of a 6 year course. She is conscientious and pleasant and generally very interested in the sciences. I have not had the opportunity to see her tutoring, but I imagine she would make a good job of it. She is, of course, DBS checked, as this is mandatory for medical students.

I am a second medic in Cambridge working with Shruti Das. I believe that she will be a terrific tutor to any student and will be able to help them reach their full potential. Throughout our time together she has consistently helped me with the course and willingly offered great explanations to difficult concepts. She is also very patient and personable, which I believe will make her a great mentor to any student. Moreover, she has a deep and concrete understanding of scientific concepts, which is evident when teaching others.
