About Lucie
Who am I?
I am a sound artist from the South East of England. I first began working with people around the world to achieve a British accent. During this time my clients achieved British pronunciation quickly and simply. Some clients had spent years to improve with changes in minutes. What they also noticed was an improvement whilst speaking in their native language creating better relationships with their friends, family and colleagues.
Another thing that happened was they asked "can you help me pronounce this letter/word in my native language?" For one lady she experienced change in 10 seconds..."I can say the letter L in Arabic, I haven't been able to say that my whole life, for 30 years!" In the next session the lady expressed how happy she was and said when she told her Mum she burst into tears "Mum I can say the letter L."
From this amazing journey I have discovered that everyone can change their voice creating incredible changes and joy in their lives. My skill is the ability to hear and describe exactly how someones sound is being created. In addition listening for how it can be improved or completely changed to achieve the impact and results you want. Whether to unleash your own beautiful voice or to truly feel and convey the character you would like to play.

My clients experience three main things:
1. discovering their natural voice - I didn't know I could feel and
sound this free and confident speaking.
2. I can have any accent or voice I like and experience any character?
3. MAGIC! An awareness of sound and how it is created with the mind, emotion and the body.
...What is my method?
Simple and fun, working with you as individual.
Sessions have three key parts for transformation:
1. Awareness
e.g what's the difference with my individual sound and the voice/accent I would like and why? For example - learning about facial movements, energy placement.
2. "Ok so I think I understand it... but HOW do I do that?" In this part you will physically practice to change your sound step by step. Most importantly continuing to build a strong awareness and understanding. With this you can practice in your own time too.
3. REMEMBERING - the most important part- "how do I remember this long-term?" In the lesson I will make notes.. Clients also love recording sessions via Skype. With this you have your personal way of producing sound at your finger tips when you at any time.
How long does it take?
Everyone is an individual. For some the changes are instant others need more practice. One aspect is how easy it is for you to notice sound. But no worries if you find it difficult you will discover what works for you. Another aspect is practicing and reflecting in between sessions to continue to embody what you've learnt long-term.
What I've noticed in people who progress the fasted are:
-They are curious and have fun with it- they understand it's a process and welcome mistakes. Moving step by step to success!
-They have big 'WHY' - "Why am I doing this?" A strong reason whether for absolute joy and creativity , freedom or success, creates long-term motivation or an intense focus which can create very fast results.
- They let go of expectations - giving increased focus and awareness in each moment. Whether you are new to the voice and accents or experienced, it's useful to be open to new possibilities and perspectives. This can also make it very fun which our brains love so you will retain what you've learnt faster and long-term.
