About Kirsten Lolly
I am a fun, silly, passionate Canadian English teacher.
I have worked in international schools in India, Thailand and South Korea. I taught students in both kindergarten and high school. I have also taught adult students for the Westin Hotel Staff in Phuket, Thailand.
Since Covid-19, I live in Toronto, Canada again and work for a childcare centre that services children and students ages 3-9 and also work for a South Korean tutoring academy online.
I love to work with students in helping them feel confident and excited about communicating in English and enhancing their language skills and strengths.

I believe it is important to have a light connection with my students. An open, positive, fun learning attitude should be shared. Speaking with students brings great joy to my life and I want them to not only learn from our class but really have fun.
A typical lesson plan will go as follows: salutations and a few minutes of free chat about your day, your feelings, your plans, any stories you want to share. Then we jump into a reading activity. I will provide a reading article, you will read it, and then we will discuss vocabulary and reading comprehension. Then we will do a separate vocabulary review or grammar review activity, not connected to the reading article. If there is time after the reading and the activity then we can have free chat or can read a fun article about food or animals or something of your specific interest.

I have known Lolly for many years. We used to teach together. Lolly is an amazing, energetic, hands-on and totally committed teacher.
